Install LiteSpeed.
Move from Apache to a faster web server with a guided installation. LiteSpeed Web Server works with your existing Apache setup and control panel.
One installer.
Your server.
Run the installer with your license serial. It will guide you through the options that apply to your environment.
Install from your terminal.
Connect to the server as root, then run the installer with your LiteSpeed license serial.
bash <( curl https://get.litespeed.cc ) your_serial_no Replace your_serial_no with your own serial number. Review the installer before running a remote script as root.

Automate the install.
For bulk provisioning, put an lsws.options file beside the installer to supply answers ahead of time. The installer can then run without interactive questions.
Prepare options
Choose the example for your control panel and edit its values for your environment. Keep passwords and license details out of public files.
Run the installer
Download your private options file into the working directory, then run the install command.
curl -o lsws.options www.your-link.com && bash <( curl https://get.litespeed.cc ) your_serial_no Use a trusted private URL for lsws.options, and replace the example address and serial before running.
Start with your panel.
These short examples cover common settings. Adjust every value to match your server before using them.
Test beside Apache
A nonzero port offset lets you test LiteSpeed in parallel before switching live traffic. Set the admin credentials and notification address for your own server.
php_suexec: 0 off, 1 on, 2 home directory only. port_offset: 0 replaces the current port; 1000 keeps Apache on its current port during testing. auto_switch_to_lsws: use 1 only when you are ready to switch.

Choose whether to change PHP handlers and when to make LiteSpeed the active web server. For auto_switch_php, 0 leaves handlers alone, 1 switches users, 2 switches subscriptions, and 3 switches both.
